Advanced Medical Transcription Module introduces students to actual transcribing of medical reports. Our extensive
bank of reports ensures your success in the MT world. Those who would like
further transcription practice can request it after their Advanced course is
complete. This will improve the students confidence in their new skills and
improve their readiness for the workforce, as a well-qualified transcriptionist.
The hospitals, clinics,
physicians and medical transcription companies, requiring medical
transcriptionists, know the value of a very well qualified transcriptionist. Our
Advanced course offers inside information into the active world of medical transcription. We offer information as to how to increase your speed, how to
use resources, where to find information on the internet, how to query a company
regarding work, what type of equipment is needed for the home-based MT, how to
set up your home-base office, drug index information, how to use shortcuts in
Word, how to compare line rates, what to look for from job postings and how to
formulate a very good resume, and of course how to ensure YOU get the job! That
is our ultimate goal.
Your goal for the Advanced
course is to successfully learn to pronounce terms, spell and give meanings to
terms, suffixes, prefixes and combined forms, build medical terms, and
transcribe them into written text, print ready. Various report types commonly
used in hospitals, clinics and private practice will be learned. All major specialties will be transcribed using the terminology gained in the Basic
Medical Terminology Module, as well as advanced terminology gained through
the Advanced Medical Transcription Module.
You will receive regular testing, further feedback, as well
as the much-needed relevant information that will make your job as an MT
profitable and secure. We will do our best
to work with those who are committed to the process of becoming top-quality transcriptionists, ready to work with confidence in their skills.
Maximum allowable time frame for completion
of this module is 9 months. We recommend that you allow the full amount of
time to complete, as you will be learning extensive medical terminology through
this course as well.
Upon completion of your
course, you will receive a
Certificate of Completion from Medwrite-Tech Inc.
We take from the vast
experience of our sister company, Med-Write Transcription Inc. This has
provided us with the knowledge of what it takes to be a
successful MT in today's ever-changing market place.
